We recently came across a very interesting initiative called the “Traveling art project”.
This project aims at introducing Lebanese art to a younger audience.
A mobile caravan serves as an exhibition space where children will be introduced to various art forms and where they will discover the artistic world in a non-conventional, fun and interactive way.
The idea is to integrate an art learning program to schools’ curriculums.
The pilot phase started at Jesus and Mary school and will be stationed there until March 2019 before moving on elsewhere.
Research has shown impressive benefits of art education. Creative and artistic activities play a major role in the educational path and are as important as other subjects in order to fully develop the human potential.
We salute this initiative and hope there will be other similar projects around the country leading to new models of education.
