In these difficult times, we salute all the Lebanese NGOs that work very hard to support people in need and fight to alleviate inequality and exclusion.
We will repost info on some of the initiatives that we came across recently such as Beit El Baraka, established in Beirut in 2017. It is committed to ensuring special care and assistance to the most disadvantaged retired citizens, acknowledging the contributions older people have made to our society, making sure they have access to sufficient nutritious food, healthcare and compassion. The team restores appartements and provides medical assistance.
Beit el Baraka opened a free eco-friendly supermarket in Karm el Zeitoun!
Those enrolled in the support program get coupons so that they can shop for free and choose what they want. With dignity.
