The founder and creative director of Sarah’s bag, is this year’s recipient of the Oslo Business for Peace award ! This award promotes female business leaders driving positive societal change.
Sarah Beydoun has built a handmade accessories business by employing women at risk from economic deprivation, prisoners and ex-prisoners in Lebanon. With passion and vision she has significantly contributed to the empowerment of hundreds of underprivileged women over the last 16 years. What started off as a social rehabilitation project has become a house hold name and a unique international fashion label.
Previous honourees of the Oslo Business for Peace award include Paul Polman, Arif Naqvi, Marilyn Carlson Nelson, Sir Richard Branson, Ratan Tata and Mo Ibrahim.
