“Beib El Chouf @beibelchouf – Lebanon’s first self-sustainable cultural center has been selected by UN-HABITAT as one of the twenty projects that will be showcased at the World Habitat Day in Mexico City, Nairobi, Vancouver and Yaounde.
Selected projects put forward “Innovative solutions to transform Waste to Wealth” in contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the New Urban Agenda.
In light of our country’s current environmental crisis, we consider this recognition to be a stepping stone for Lebanon to move towards a more ecologically-conscious agenda in the years to come”.
