Yo-Yo Ma graced us with his presence and music in Lebanon this week!
“He may be the greatest Cellist in the world and, some would argue, the greatest Cellist ever”, (The Washington Post). He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by American University in Beirut (AUB) in 2004. He came back to Lebanon in 2019 to play in @Byblos International Festival, Beit Beirut, and Assembly Hall AUB where he participated in a a wide ranging conversation on the role of culture in bringing people together in society (Culture and Freedom of expression event) and a concert by the Fayha Choir.” Ibrahim Khoury
