Filling up cities with plants and trees cleans the air, reduces carbon, lowers temperatures, enhances biodiversity and supports human health.
A few months ago we had shared the fantastic initiative of a group of environmentalists, led by passionate and socially engaged architect Adib Dada @theotherdada, to restore Beirut River’s ecosystem, planting the first regional urban native forest on the banks of the Beirut River. @BeirutRiverLESS
In the last few days, in the midst of the Revolution, as part of their bigger reforestation initiative, they have been working on a guerrilla foresting project off Martyr’s Square.
We salute these initiatives that strive to create significant positive impact, improve the environment we live in and serve as a catalyst for change. @regeneratelebanon
